Chautauqua Series presents The Mystery Apaches by Sherry Robinson
Event Date and Time
Date: Friday, September 5, 2014
Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Duration: 2 hours

Event Details

Apaches were living along the Pecos and Canadian Rivers long before the Spanish explorer Coronado entered the region in 1540.  They’ve received little attention from historians, but they’re every bit as interesting as Geronimo.

Telling their story will be Sherry Robinson, a long-time New Mexico journalist and author. She has spent many years researching the Eastern Apaches and will share her knowledge and insights that are based on the written record and Apache oral history.

All programs this year are sponsored by the San Juan College Foundation and the New Mexico Humanities Council, and begin at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre. All Chautauqua shows are free.
